Choosing a Defensive Driving Course

  • Ticket Dismissal: For drivers who have been approved by the court to dismiss a Texas traffic ticket. Course takes 6 hours and you can take it once every 13 months to dismiss a traffic ticket from your driving record.
  • Insurance Reduction: This 6-hour course will allow you earn a discount on insurance rate. The discount is dependent on your carrier, so contact your insurance company first. You can take this course once every 3 years to keep your rates low. 
  • Seat Belt Ticket: For drivers who received a seat belt or child safety seat violation and want to dismiss a ticket. This 6-hour course can be taken once every 12 months.
